San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Lakers

Friday, Nov. 14 (ESPN)

This is the first of three matchups against the defending champs (the only one at home as well), so it will be the first time the Lakers can see where they lie in comparison to such a team.

This is also the first matchup between Kobe and Tim Duncan since Duncan joined Bryant in the “five-ring-club”, which is sure to spark back up some of the legacy conversation that we heard comparing the two legends this off-season, at least leading up to the game.

What does that mean for the viewers?

Kobe Bryant attempting to score points. Lots of them.

Other than that, with a few weeks to get comfortable with each other, this should be a real barometer game for the 2014-15 Los Angeles Lakers to see where they are heading for the season.
