Josh Smith On The Move?

There have been frequent rumors of Josh Smith being on the trade block all summer long, and with Monroe in tow for another season, it would be no surprise to see them revived. The Sacramento Kings seem particularly keen on Smith, and with the failure and congestion that the Pistons frontcourt created last season, it would seem to make sense for the Pistons to try to capitalize on that interest.

Not to mention, the reports from earlier in the Summer suggesting that Monroe was reluctant to return to Detroit if Smith was still in place. Monroe dismissed such rumors on Twitter, but even from a playing perspective, if the Pistons still do harbor interest in keeping Monroe long-term, there’d seem to be little need for Smith in the Motor City.
