Physical Development

One of the first things that many rookies realize upon turning professional, is that the physicality is at a completely different level to college basketball. In college there can be a couple of exceptionally strong or imposing guys on each team, but professionally it’s close to every guy on the squad.

This is what can sometimes give the effect of boys against men when young players take to the floor, and it’s something that rookies need to work on and acclimatize to. In Turkey, Patterson will get the perfect opportunity to hone his body for the NBA, while also adjusting to the the increased pace, power and intensity of professional sports.
