High Caliber Teammate

On a squad filled with young guards and wings, Caron Butler is the perfect player for them to look up to and learn from. Butler’s teammates go on to the floor knowing that he always has their back. If they find themselves in a skirmish, Butler will be there to take over. If they get fouled hard, Butler will be one of the first guys over to help pick them up.

Another part of his character that we learned about last season, was Butler’s ability to motivate behind the scenes. In his emotional MVP acceptance speech, Kevin Durant highlighted Butler for helping him to believe in himself. If the Wisconsin native can inject the Pistons’ squad with similar confidence this year, expect to see great improvements.
