Experience

It’s hard to know how much this stands for in a squad as young as this, but of the front men he’s competing with, Cousins is definitely the veteran. Cousins has played 291 games as a professional during his four years in the NBA, which amounts to 80 more than Drummond and Plumlee combined.

That mightn’t seem like something that should make a difference, but in a close game, Cousins is just going to be a little bit more knowing. Having been part of a talented Kentucky program under coach John Calipari, Cousins knows all about expectation, and the burden of the public’s assumption of USA success won’t affect him in the slightest.
