3-Point Shooting

Perhaps the biggest surprise of Mike Scott’s improvements last year was his 3-point shooting. Having attempted and missed only a single attempt from behind the arc in his rookie season, Scott, like a number of his teammates, developed a respectable 3-point game over the offseason last year.

Scott may have only made 31 percent of his 200 attempts from distance, but that’s colossal progress considering it was a shot that wasn’t in his arsenal a year prior. With another summer of work with the Hawks coaching staff under his belt, and following a red-hot shooting performance in the playoffs, expect Scott’s shot to become even more consistent in the coming season.
