4. Terran Petteway – Junior –  Nebraska Cornhuskers

An argument could be made that Petteway shouldn’t be on a list of guards. He only had 52 assists last season. However, he is listed as a guard by Nebraska and is included in this review.

Petteway led Nebraska to its first NCAA berth since 1998 and did so as a sophomore. This season expect a heavy contribution by Petteway again. Terran should be a better, more experienced player this season. His play in a tough conference and his experience in the NCAA tournament should give him a good understanding of what it takes to win.

He is capable of guarding multiple positions, including smaller guards. He should look to improve his shooting percentages and orchestrate more assists. He will be a focus for other opponents’ game plans when they face the Cornhuskers.
