Boston Celtics — Marcus Smart

In what was a relatively uneventful offseason for the Celtics, they drafted Smart to be their point guard of the future. But wait — isn’t Rajon Rondo still there? And, didn’t they just sign Avery Bradley to a ridiculous extension? I don’t have a problem with having some insurance, but it just keeps feeling like Rondo is their odd-man out.

The Celtics are looking to the future with what appears to be…not much of a plan. Boston faithful better hope Danny Ainge and company have a plan moving forward. The good news is that Smart looks like a winner. Don’t forget how good he was last season, with his 18.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game at Oklahoma State.
