Spacing

As I just alluded to, Scott is a capable 3-point shooter, but that wasn’t always the case. As a rookie, Scott attempted a single 3-point attempt and missed, while last year he had 200 attempts and made 31 percent of them.

That mightn’t be the most efficient number, but for a shot that he’s only recently developed, it’s very promising.

Scott’s ability to shoot the 3, and long 2-pointers also, means his game has a stretch-4 feel to it. With Stan Van Gundy’s love of the 3-pointer, Scott would be a perfect piece to help transform the Pistons style of play, and create better floor spacing and a more fluid offense overall.
