Like every player in the league, Casspi has a lot of talent, but I don’t think we’ve seen enough of it in the NBA so far, to force teams to be over-excited to sign him. I’d question the Kings desire to sign the 26-year-old, particularly considering rumors suggest the team is prepared to waive Quincy Acy in order to sign Casspi.

There’s very little doubt that Acy is the more valuable player to have on a roster in my mind, but even if Casspi was to sign with the Kings retaining Acy, I still wouldn’t be a fan. Casspi’s NBA career has offered up very limited productivity, and if the Kings decide to press on and sign him, it might be their most baffling move of the off-season to date.
