Defense

Casspi is a pretty pedestrian defender. In spite of his size he doesn’t have an overwhelming presence, and where most 6″9′ guys love to get involved in the paint, Casspi is generally heading for the perimeter. For his career, Casspi’s teams have given up an average of 104.3 points per 100 opposition possessions, when the Israeli is on the court.

Casspi’s offers very little in the passing lanes, and has never really stood out as a top class pick pocket. In fact, Casspi averages only 0.7 steals per game for his career. With his tendency to drift to the perimeter, he’s not much of a shot blocker either, with a measly 0.2 average for his career.
