Sacramento Kings: Omri Casspi Returning?
By Adam McGee
Scoring
So we’ve already established that Casspi isn’t quite as good a three-point shooter as his reputation seems to suggest, but what’s the rest of his offensive game like? As Casspi’s minutes have fluctuated from city to city, the easiest way to get a handle on this is by taking a look at his per 36 minute numbers. Casspi averages 13.4 points per 36, yet does so shooting only 42.1 percent from the field.
That field goal percentage is far from impressive, and taking a closer look at Casspi’s player tracking stats quickly reveals why. Casspi shoots 36.5 percent on catch and shoot attempts, 27.1 percent on pull up jumpers and 42.2 percent on drives. It’s only his efficiency with close shots, 59.1 percent, that gives any respectability to his shooting game overall.
