As the craziness of free agency dies down, the Hawks have plenty of options available to them. They’re one of the few teams with enough cap space to make a run at Greg Monroe.

They’ve extended qualifying offers to Shelvin Mack and Mike Scott, meaning there’s still a real chance that they could return. Yet there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be considering Shawn Marion among all of those options either.

Marion can still be a significant role player for a good NBA team, and who knows, at this stage he might even be available for a veteran’s minimum contract.
