Offense

Marion’s offensive game has always had its kinks, yet he’s always been wily enough to find a way to score. For his career, the 36-year-old averages an efficient 48.5 percent from the field.

Although Marion is no longer the explosive athlete he once was, he still knows how to get inside the paint and finish in close proximity to the rim.

Marion has one of the most unique, and arguably ungainly, jump shots in the NBA. His unconventional form hasn’t stopped it from being effective for much of his career though.

Although Marion has generally struggled from distance throughout his career, last season he shot 35.8 percent from deep, his best percentage since his fourth season in the NBA. If he could replicate that, it would be enough to keep defenders honest in Atlanta’s ball movement system.
