Just after the San Antonio Spurs wrapped up their fifth NBA title last month, things were only starting to heat up (sorry, no pun intended, Miami) as a few weeks later, the 2014 NBA Finals runner-ups would eventually lose far more than a chance at letting Pat Riley put his previously trademarked “3-Peat” moniker on some new merchandise.

Yes, the 2013-14 season may have been over at that point, but the fun was only beginning in what are almost year-round events in the NBA nowadays.
