Overall

Bazemore is a really well-rounded player, who looks like he’ll fit in perfectly with what the Hawks are trying to achieve. Atlanta’s coaching staff did a tremendous job at developing and elevating the game of a number of players to dizzying new heights last season, and it will be interesting to see what they can make of Bazemore this year.

Either way, on a two-year deal with a reasonable salary, there’s very little risk in the deal. If Bazemore thrives in Atlanta, general manager Danny Ferry will receive the plaudits again, while if it’s a struggle for the 25-year-old, his contract seems very tradable.

All in all, it looks like a shrewd move by the Hawks.
