15 Straight 50-Win Seasons And Counting

The Spurs currently sit at 15 consecutive years with at least 50 wins during the regular season. San Antonio has 24 altogether in their 38 years as a part of the NBA.

Six times the Spurs have had a losing record, including four straight from 1985-86 to 1988-89. It would have been six in a row, but during the 1984-85 regular season San Antonio went 41-41.

One year earlier, the Spurs won 37 games, the same number San Antonio won during a strike-shortened 1998-99 season. The Spurs won their first title that year.

Looking at all those mind-numbing statistics, it’s a head-scratcher to why so much of the media has been so quick to count San Antonio out time after time.
