He may not have been the player that Kings fans expected their team to draft this year, but as we come closer to Stauskas’ first actions representing Sacramento, there should be cause for excitement. Stauskas was a standout during his two years as a Michigan Wolverine, and should be a player capable of making an immediate impact for the Kings.

Look for Stauskas to score plenty of points, and lots of three-pointers, as that’s what his game is about. What the Kings will want to see most of all though is a willingness to defend, and a level of activity on that end of the floor that proves there shouldn’t be long-term concerns over Stauskas’ defense.
