After being taken with the seventh overall pick in last year’s draft, the Kings had high expectations for McLemore. Things didn’t turn out quite as planned for the former Kansas Jayhawk as a rookie though, and now the selection of Nik Stauskas in this year’s draft is rumored to have cast a shadow over McLemore’s future with the Kings.

McLemore is the type of player who should be kicking on and dominating in Summer League this year, much like Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has done for the Pistons in Orlando. The Kings will want to see McLemore control games, and use his immense talent to dictate the outcomes of match-ups.
