The Sacramento Kings head to Summer League with a roster loaded with proven NBA talent. For many teams, their Summer League squads can consist of invitees, undrafted and D-League players, but Sacramento’s team is one of a few taking on a different look this year.

The Kings squad in Las Vegas includes regular rotation players, Ray McCallum, Jared Cunningham, Ben McLemore, Derrick Williams and Quincy Acy. It will also be Sacramento fans first chance since draft night to take a look at their eighth overall pick Nik Stauskas. On top of that, the Kings also have experienced NBA player MarShon Brooks to cap off the group.

The team will be coached by Kings assistant coach Chris Jent, under the watchful eyes of head coach Mike Malone from the stands. Malone and some of the Kings’ veterans have been holding a training camp in Vegas, and their likely presence in the stands will add to expectation on the players on the floor.

The Kings Summer League team open up later this evening against the San Antonio Spurs, while the Charlotte Hornets and a D-League Select Team are also on the schedule, with at least two more games depending on how the team performs.

So, to try and gauge just how successful they will be, let’s take a closer look at the complete roster.
