4) The Rebranding Was A Good Move

For Charlotte, it was all about shedding the “hopeless franchise” stigma, and by dropping their Bobcats name and reintroducing the Charlotte Hornets, they were able to do just that.

The Charlotte Hornets were a winning team. Fans loved the Hornets back in the 90’s, and the team featured a sell-out crowd for almost all of their home games. Now, the logo has been updated to a more modern and meaner design, and the court has been completely redone. Michael Jordan‘s staff has helped bring Buzz City back to life.

Fans are no longer rooting for the Bobcats, the expansion team that was started in 2003; they’re rooting for the Hornets, an extension of the greatest era of Charlotte basketball.
