Adreian Payne

Although not many people were projecting Hawks general manager Danny Ferry to select a power forward on draft night, Payne’s fit with the Hawks has been a cause of great excitement. Payne was a standout during his time as a Michigan State Spartan, and by all means his game looks built, and ready, to perform in the NBA.

For Payne, he’ll be hoping to showcase that he’s the whole package. In particular, if the 23-year-old can display his strong basketball IQ, consistent long range shooting, defensive awareness and impressive athleticism, he’ll be positioned well to make a significant contribution in the NBA in the coming season.
