Detroit Pistons: Aaron Gray Signed As Backup Center
By Adam McGee
Defensive Presence
Gray isn’t a great shot blocker, so it’s hard to call him a rim protector. The Californian’s frame alone makes him an imposing figure for opposing players driving towards the rim though.
On top of being 7″0′, Gray is also 270 pounds, and he’s by no means shy of physical contact.
Gray’s size alone makes him a presence in front of the rim, and an obstacle for opposing teams to get around or over. Although, he mightn’t get firm rejections, Gray’s length will do enough to distract shooters, and make them adjust their shots.
