Detroit Pistons: Aaron Gray Signed As Backup Center
By Adam McGee
Rebounding
Gray is a legitimate 7-footer, and one of the areas where this is an obvious help to him is on the glass. When Gray takes to the floor, he’s active, engaged, and constantly looking to disrupt play and fight for loose balls.
In less than 10 minutes per game last season, Gray averaged three rebounds in Sacramento, while for his career, he averages a slightly higher rate of 3.7 a night. This translates to 11.1 rebounds per 36 minutes, meaning that when Andre Drummond is off the floor, the Pistons should no longer drop off too much in the rebounding category.
