Winning on the road wasn’t one of Charlotte’s strong suits last season. The team finished with an 18-23 road-record, making the Bobcats just one of three playoff teams worse than .500 away from their own territory. This especially hurt them in the playoffs, when they dug themselves into a 2-0 hole against the Miami Heat en route to a sweep. For a team that has trouble generating consistent offense, struggling on the road is an expected obstacle.

With that said, if the Hornets aren’t able to win outside of Time Warner Cable Arena, it’s tough to see them advancing past the first round of the playoffs. Luckily, as the team gets older and more mature, it should become less of an issue.
