Kent Bazemore

For every team in the league, there’s always a name that crops up completely out of the blue in free agency, and for the Hawks it could be Kent Bazemore this year.

Bazemore was another player who Alex Kennedy reported the Hawks to have interest in, and it seems they have the Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs for company. Having been picked up by the Golden State Warriors two seasons ago, Bazemore had minimal chance to show his ability in the NBA until he became a Laker last season.

In 23 games for LA in the latter part of last season, Bazemore posted an impressive 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Bazemore is a respectable shooter with strong defensive instincts. At 6’6″, his size and skill set could help provide the Hawks with some good value depth on the wing.
