We are now just more than a year into Vivek Ranadive’s ownership of the Sacramento Kings, and it seems as if there are exciting times ahead. The Kings finally have a new arena to look forward to, as the centerpiece of downtown Sacramento’s new Entertainment and Sports Complex will be the team’s new home.

The Kings ownership are looking to build on that momentum, and all signs seem to indicate that they are determined to make moves to improve the team immediately. Trading for a former All-Star like Rajon Rondo would be an undisputed signal of Ranadive’s intention.

If both Kings’ fans and players around the league can see just how serious the Kings are about winning, the team will attract much greater interest. For a team that hasn’t made the playoffs in eight seasons, it’s probably about time they made some ripples too.
