Highlight Game

Date: Feb. 8, 2014
Opponent: Oregon
Result: Won, 74-72
Stat Line: 38 minutes, 26 points, 7-8 fg, 12-14 ft, 9 rebounds, 9 blocks

Bachynski scored a career-high 26 points on just eight shots and was just one rebound and a block shy of posting his second career triple-double.

Arizona State needed every bit of that after blowing a 20-point halftime lead. With Bachysnki leading the Sun Devil’s effort to stop Oregon’s front court, the Ducks’ guards led a big rally that was finally thwarted when Bachynski made a game-saving block on a reverse layup attempt at the final buzzer.

Lowlight Game

Date: Jan. 16, 2014
Opponent: Arizona
Result: Lost, 91-68
Stat Line: 23 minutes, 3 points, 0-3 fg, 3-4 ft, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks

With a lot to play for at then top-ranked intra-state rival Arizona, Bachynski failed to measure up to being tested at a high level. He grabbed six rebounds and had three blocks, but Bachynski didn’t make a shot while scoring just three points as his team was non-competitive in a blowout loss.
