Johnny O’Bryant (36)

O’Bryant’s a 6’8″, 257 pound power forward/center. He’s got a 7’2″ wingspan.

All-SEC First teamer who led the LSU Tigers to their first 20-win season since 2009.

What should the Bucks expect from O’Bryant.

1. Offense.

  • 15.4 PPG on .496/.500/.634 shooting.
  • Solid mid-range shooter.
  • Lack of explosiveness turn him into a weak finisher on the rim. He should work on balancing size and speed.
  • Free-throws need a lot of work.
  • 2013/14 LSU’s biggest offensive weapon.
  • He improved greatly since his freshman year so he’s bound to get better.

2. Defense.

Great presence down low.

  • 7.7 RPG.
  • Above average strength gives him above average boxing out skills.
  • Almost same wingspan as Kawhi Leonard. It’s not great to have a small forward who’s got a bigger wingspan that yours (see: Damien Inglis).

Not the sharpest tool in the shed but he’s young and he puts great effort on workouts so he should get better.
