2009

Jermaine Taylor, 32nd overall

Impact guys taken after No. 32: Patrick Beverley, Chase Budinger, Danny Green

The Wizards were one of the worst teams in the league during the 2008-09 season. They received the No. 5 pick at the 2009 lottery. And they gave it away.

They gave it away along with Etan Thomas, Darius Songalia, and Pecherov for Randy Foye and Mike Miller in return.

That has to be one of the worst draft day trades of all-time. They both played one season in D.C. and both were just average, scoring around 10 points a game. THE WIZARDS COULD HAVE HAD STEPHEN CURRY. Or DeMar DeRozan. Or Ty Lawson. Or Jrue Holiday. Or Jeff Teague. This is no fun.
