2004

Devin Harris, fifth overall

Impact guys taken after No. 5: Luol Deng, Andre Iguodala, Al Jefferson

Peter John Ramos, 32nd overall

Out of these two players, the Wizards got a combined six games, 11 points, and 20 minutes of action.

All of those stats were from Ramos in the 2005 season. However, drafting Harris paid off for the Wizards. On draft night, the Wizards packaged Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, and Christian Laetnner for Antawn Jamison. Stackhouse and Laettner never had big time seasons once they left D.C. and while Harris has had a solid career, there was no room for him in the backcourt with Gilbert Arenas and Larry Hughes.

Jamison went on to make two All-Star games as a Wizard and help lead the Wizards to four of their six playoff appearances in the last 26 years. While the 7-foot-3 Ramos never panned out, the Wizards won big with the 2004 draft.
