Grizzlies and Jazz Playing Nice
According to ESPN’s Chad Ford, the Utah Jazz selected Jarnell Stokes at No. 35 for the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a trade. In return, the Grizz will send the Jazz a 2016 second round pick. Stokes provides the Jazz with some size, rebounding and shot-blocking ability. He’s a physical presence in the paint and he’s very strong, albeit undersized.
Stokes’ physical, defensive mentality fits in perfectly with the Memphis Grizzlies and he’s got a real shot of being a contributor on that end at the very least.
