The Night We Realized No One Had Swaggy’s Back:

In a game against the Phoenix Suns, Ukrainian rookie Alex Len went up to challenge Nick Young’s dunk attempt, fouling him hard in a way that was displeasing to his Swagginess. Young immediately bounced up and gave Len a “Welcome to the league, f**k you” shove. When the Morris twins stepped in to defend their rookie, Young realized that he didn’t like seeing double and decided he was going to take his rage out the rest of Europe, swinging at poor Slovenian Goran Dragic.

At that point, Young was ejected and the Lakers were left with eight healthy players for the rest of the game. Considering the mini-brawl took place in the first half, it’s no surprise LA ended up getting the L. But the most disappointing news, even more disappointing than the Lakers losing their best offensive player for the rest of the game, was that NONE of Swaggy’s teammates stepped in to help.

Watch the clip below. Ryan Kelly, who was already in the middle of the brawl, does the typical white guy “Hey man, let’s break it up” routine and ends up shrinking away from the action. Chris Kaman and Jodie Meeks don’t come over until after Young has been restrained. Kendall Marshall is practically standing at half court with his hands on his hips. AFTER ALL SWAGGY’S GIVEN YOU, THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY HIM?
