Thaddeus Young Not Feeling Brotherly Love

He’s “wanted out” for some time now and the Sixers haven’t made a move with him just yet, but with a rebuilding project already underway in Philadelphia, don’t be shocked to see Thaddeus Young moved on Thursday.

At 26 years old, Young averaged nearly 18 points and six rebounds of a bad 76er squad. He has the talent to produce for a contender but hasn’t been given that opportunity. In a situation where he’s motivated to win and is playing with already established players, there’s no telling how good Young could be in the NBA.

A few teams that could make a move for Young include the Oklahoma City Thunder, who could offer up Kendrick Perkins as well as one of two first round picks, and Cleveland, who may be shopping the first overall pick now that Joel Embiid is too much of an injury risk to take and Jabari Parker reportedly prefers Milwaukee to Cleveland.

Philly could move the third overall pick and Young to Cleveland in exchange for the top overall pick, allowing the Sixers to take Andrew Wiggins, whom they’ve coveted since the draft process began back in December for them.

Young’s name hasn’t been talked about too much just yet, but could be on of the bigger names moved on draft night.
