Probably the biggest hole in McDaniels’ game right now is his decision-making. He seems to struggle with knowing when to be aggressive and when to be more conservative, and this can hurt his game on both ends of the floor.

Offensively, McDaniels has a habit of forcing the issue, whether that’s driving to the rim only to find himself in a dead end, or heaving up jump shots that are heavily contested. On the defensive end, it’s McDaniels’ eye for a steal that can force him to over-commit and create holes in his teams defense.

These are issues that can be overcome in time though, and when McDaniels matures they should be a distant memory. McDaniels still has enough about him though that if the Clippers do decide to draft him, he should be able to contribute immediately.
