McDaniels is a capable shooter, who just needs to work to become more consistent. Although McDaniels has improved his shot since his freshman year, he still has a few kinks in his stroke, like the high arc of his 3-pointer, that an NBA shooting coach would look to iron out.

Last season, McDaniels was very efficient from two point range, with his percentage only dropping when he moved out behind the arc. McDaniels shot 52.7 percent on 2-point attempts, but only 30.4 from deep. If he can improve his accuracy from deep, he has all the skills to become a highly valued “3-and-D” guy in the NBA.
