After an incredibly successful college career, Al Horford was selected by the Hawks with the third pick of the 2007 Draft. Having won back to back national titles as a Florida Gator, Horford was one of the hottest prospects in his class, and more importantly a proven winner.

Horford is an elite player on both ends of the floor, and his dynamic range of skills makes him a difficult match-up. Horford is exceptionally athletic for his size, and when that’s combined with his soft shooting touch, he’s very difficult to stop.

The Dominican is a born leader and has played a big part in the consistency of the Hawks over the years. Although injuries have affected him in the last couple of seasons, Horford is still the Hawks centerpiece, and if this current group is to be successful, he’ll be the key.
