No. 1 Best Draft Class

Year: 1985

All-Stars: 10 (Michael Adams, Joe Dumars, Patrick Ewing, A.C. Green, Karl Malone, Xavier McDaniel, Chris Mullin, Charles Oakley, Terry Porter, Detlef Schrempf)

Steal of the Draft: Karl Malone at No. 13

Biggest Bust: Kenny Green at No. 12

It’s much easier to say because all of these player’s careers are over, but what a class. This could very well be the toughest and grittiest set of 10 players to grace a court if you put them together. Do you think they’d all foul out of today’s game? In any event, Malone was an absolute monster that moved with the grace of LeBron James but his legacy was tarnished due to lack of titles. Malone averaged 37.2 minutes per game for his career, with 25.0 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists. Wow.

Ewing is in the same boat as far as lack of playoff success. Both were awesome players in their own right, but both will forever be remembered as guys who couldn’t get it done when it most mattered. They’re No. 1 on our list, at least. That’s saying something, right?
