No. 3 Best Draft Class

Year: 1987

All-Stars: 7 (Horace Grant, Mark Jackson, Kevin Johnson, Reggie Lewis, Reggie Miller, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson)

Steal of the Draft: Reggie Miller at No. 11

Biggest Bust: Dennis Hopson at No. 3

I’m going to throw out some numbers here and if you’re not impressed, close your laptop, shutoff your desktop or throw your phone out the window–22.7 points, 13.0 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 5.8 blocks per game while shooting 60.7 percent from the field — that’s David Robinson’s junior year. He scored 28.2 points per game in his senior year.

Those that didn’t see Robinson can’t truly appreciate how dominant he was. They’ll remember him getting obliterated by Shaquille O’Neal‘s elbow or Hakeem Olajuwon’s dream shake, but Robinson was the real deal and everyone who’s come into contact with him praise him for being all class.
