And finally, we come to the guy that nearly every mock draft under the sun has the Suns taking the the No. 27 pick: Clint Capela. A raw offensive prospect, Capela is already drawing Serge Ibaka comparisons for his shot blocking ability. He’s incredibly efficient from the field and the Suns need the kind of rim protector that Capela could develop into given his length.

This is obviously an “upside” pick, but Capela is one of the few options the Suns will have at No. 27 that will make McDonough and Hornacek think twice about NOT bringing all three rookies along for the 2014-15 season. He’s a superb athlete who will obviously need help developing the kind of midrange jump shot that makes Ibaka so effective on offense, but this lanky, 6’11” prospect has the potential to be a defensive game changer with a few years of development.
