When Clarkson gets the ball in his hands, his first thought seems to be to drive hard to the paint and try to score. Clarkson is a really limited jump shooter, who offers no real threat from outside, so in many ways he’s left with no option but to be aggressive towards the hoop.

Clarkson has a good eye for finding holes in the opposing defense, and as a result he has a knack for gliding to the rim where he’s a solid finisher.

In 35 minutes per game for the Missouri Tigers last season, Clarkson averaged 17.5 points per game. This indicates that Clarkson could carve a niche for himself as a scoring point guard as a professional.
