2014 NBA Draft: Cincinnati’s Sean Kilpatrick Player Profile
By Nathan Giese
Highlight Game:
March 1 vs. Memphis (W 97-84) 34 points, 11-for-18 field goals, 2-for-5 3-pointers, 10-for-11 free throws, three assists, zero turnovers
It was a game Cincinnati had to win in order to stay alive for a regular season AAC championship. Kilpatrick was in attack mode from the very beginning and boy did it pay off. Dissecting Memphis’ loaded backcourt almost seemed too easy for Kilpatrick during this game.
Lowlight Game:
March 14 vs. Connecticut (AAC Tournament Championship Game; L 58-56): 14 points, 5-for-15 field goals, 2-for-7 3-pointers, two assists, two rebounds, four steals
Kilpatrick was very vocal about Shabazz Napier winning the AAC Player of the Year award over him and this was supposed to be Sean’s redemption game. It ended up being Kilpatrick that kept the Bearcats in the game, but he also ended up costing them the game as well. He had one of the worst shooting performances on the season and missed a layup at the buzzer that would’ve sent the game to overtime. Kilpatrick would probably like to forget that game.
