Defensive Potential

Bogdanovic measures 6’6″, and has a wingspan of just less than 7’0″. This makes him an incredibly imposing figure for a guy who spends most of his time as a 2 guard, and from his play in Europe it appears to be a genuine plus point for his defense.

That type of length makes it incredibly difficult for guys to get by him, shoot over him, and even makes Bogdanovic a good help defender, as he can reach in from the weak side to effortlessly disrupt play (evidenced from 4:15 onwards in the video above).

While playing for Partizan Belgrade, Bogdanovic showed himself more than capable of averaging 1.5 steals per game. On top of just bothering shooters with his presence while defending on the ball, Bogdanovic’s physical tools show that there’s no reason why he can’t become a good shot blocker too, which is an unusual trait in NBA guard’s.
