A really important part of Adams’ game is his strength. Many feel that Adams is a guy who is going to have to work really hard on his conditioning and fitness as a professional. Considering he weighed 220 pounds during the college season, and was 209 pounds by the time the Draft Combine came around, it shows that Adams will willingly work to stay in shape though.

Something that will be important for the 19-year-old going forward is to ensure that he doesn’t lose so much weight that it will damage his game. With the combination of his length and weight, Adams generally has an advantage over most guards he comes up against.

This allows him to defend bigger guys on defense, as well making him unafraid of contact when trying to finish on offense. As I’ve already mentioned above, Adam’s strength could help him develop a post game in the NBA too.
