Defense

Millsap’s defense often goes overlooked, but he does an exceptional job on that end of the floor. Despite being undersized for his position, Millsap has good verticality, and uses his intelligence to help him to challenge shots. The fact that he’s undersized also works to his advantage though.

Millsap’s comparative agility with some of the other power forwards in the NBA makes him a defensive pest. his active hands mean he’s always looking to strip the ball loose down low in the paint, or poke it loose while disrupting the passing lanes.

Millsap who has always been adept at stealing the ball, had 1.7 steals per game this year. That was good enough to put the Louisiana native in the top 10 in that stat in the NBA.
