Potential Landing Spot:

Thanasis will not come into the equation for the first round of the draft but has appeared on boards anywhere from pick 35 through to the very end of the draft. Teams in the mid- to late second round looking for specific skill sets will be tempted by the defensive potential of Antetokounmpo and there are a number of teams with multiple picks that could take a flyer on the 21 year old Greek.

Teams That Make Sense:

Milwaukee Bucks

We have heard multiple times from the Antetokounmpo brothers how important their family is and the whole family made the move to the States when Giannis was drafted last season. After capturing the imagination of fans around the NBA, the Bucks have high expectations for Giannis going forward and hope their lanky 19-year-old can become a star in the NBA. While Thanasis also offers solid defensive ability and the potential to be a good two-way role player in the second round, his presence in Milwaukee may also push both brothers to reach their ceilings by having each other on the same roster. The Bucks have picks No. 36 and No. 48 in the second round of the 2014 draft and will almost certainly get at least one chance to take the elder Antetokounmpo.

Minnesota Timberwolves

There are huge question marks surrounding the future of the Timberwolves this off-season and the direction of the team at this point is unclear. Whichever route they choose, having defensive role players to fill out a roster is an essential part of building a successful team and with two picks in the second round they could take a chance on an exciting prospect like Thanasis Antetokounmpo. With the 40th and 44th picks, there is a good chance the Wolves could take a long, hard look at Antetokounmpo in the second round.
