Mack has really solid point guard instincts. He’s incredibly comfortably with the ball in his hands, is confident at running plays and is a pretty good decision maker overall. Mack’s passing ability highlights this.

The former Butler Bulldog is equally adept at kicking out to an open man on the perimeter, or squeezing a bounce pass through a narrow gap in the post to one of his big men. In spite of playing considerable minutes as a shooting guard alongside Jeff Teague this season, Mack still managed to rack up some impressive assists.

In just more than 20 minutes a game, Mack averaged 3.7 assists. If we were to adjust that to gauge Mack’s assists per 36 minutes, that number jumps to 6.5. If Mack ever finds himself as a starting point guard in the NBA, there’s no reason to believe that he couldn’t average seven assists per game.
