Jennings has all the physical tools necessary to be a solid defender, but it seems like he just isn’t interested in that part of the game.

The 24-year-old has great lateral quickness, and good active hands, which are definite contributing factors in his solid steals numbers. For his career, Jennings averages 1.4 steals a night, but off the ball, Jennings could definitely do more.

With Van Gundy in charge and an emphasis on defense, he’ll likely have no choice but to give more effort this season either.
