NBA Playoffs: The Tracy McGrady Awards
26.2 PPG, 10.6 RPG, 1.6 BPG, 45.2 FG%, 80.0 FT%
Aldridge was without a doubt the best player for the Portland Trail Blazers during their playoff run. He was also the most prolific in a couple of different ways. He averaged 22.7 shots per game, which is less than only Kevin Durant and his 23.1 attempts in the entire league.
In their opening series against the Houston Rockets, Aldridge put together a two-game stretch in which he scored 89 points with 26 rebounds and five blocks (both Blazer wins). He wouldn’t break 32 points again in his 11-game run, but needless to say he started hot, hot, hot.
Aldridge only missed on a double-double in three of his contests, with one of those being a 43-point, eight rebound effort. He did cool off a bit late in the playoff run, but the San Antonio Spurs can humble players like no other in the game of basketball.
