“Get off Elton Brand’s lawn!” was a common refrain on Twitter amongst bloggers during Hawks games, as Brand remained a shot blocking force this season.

Brand had an impressive 1.2 blocks per game in his limited 19.4 minutes per game. This translated to 2.2 blocks per 36 minutes, which would have been good enough to place Brand in the top five in the league in blocks if he was playing starters minutes.
